ISO/IEC 27001:2013: Securing your intellectual property.

Summit’s ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification (the international standard for information security management) demonstrates the effectiveness of our Information Security Management System (ISMS) in protecting the intellectual property of our clients. We cover all personnel, IT systems, policies, procedures, standards, processes, tools, utilities and data used in the execution of client services. We are capable of identifying security risks and implementing compensating controls to reduce your organization’s exposure to risk.

Summit is proud to be certified by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) as an SDVOSB. The CVE certification attests to the authenticity of Summit’s ownership status and provides opportunities for Federal and State agencies to procure services from Summit in support of their small business initiatives.

Wendell Lockhart, Chief Executive Officer

A U.S. Navy veteran, Wendell’s focus on ensuring exemplary quality and meticulous attention to detail has resulted in Summit’s stellar reputation for service excellence. He is the Founder and CEO of Summit, and is responsible for leading business capture and customer relationship management efforts for the firm, as well overseeing all program and task order management activities. He has 20 years of experience delivering professional information technology services for a wide range of clients spanning the Federal Government and commercial industry.

Mr. Lockhart earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Science and Information Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. He also holds the CISA, CISM and CISSP certifications, and is a volunteer and mentor for a national service organization based in Washington D.C.

Founded as a cybersecurity and IT Audit firm, Summit’s first contract was in support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security where we provided FISMA Compliance support to DHS component organizations. As we diversified our service offerings, Summit continues to offer our customers technical insight regarding a range of issues pertaining to cloud security, defensive/offensive cyber operations and internal controls.
